PART-TIME MINISTRY JOB AGREEMENT
Technical Director (PT/FT)

The Tech Director will lead and equip a team of volunteers who are serving our mission by creating an atmosphere of excellence in the area of worship arts tech.
Responsibilities

Lead the sound, media, lighting, and video teams

Integration of lights (both movement and color designs), presentation, and audio for a seamless production

Understand and maintain the AVL systems, wiring, and equipment

Stage setup for all rehearsals and services, and maintain backstage equipment organization

Coordinate volunteer scheduling for all worship services, funerals, weddings, and other special events

Recruit, train and equip team leaders to effectively lead their volunteer teams

Cultivate a sense of community with volunteers

Research and implement new technology to help further the mission and vision of the church

Support church technology needs for program areas

Sound, media, lighting and video support for SAU events both at the church and potentially on campus

Attend and participate in All-staff meetings and Worship Arts meetings
Required Skills

Hands-on experience with technology in a contemporary worship production environment

Problem-solving ability and curiosity for advancing learning in all tech areas

Ability to be adaptable in stressful situations and a quick learner

Strong communicator

Knowledge of music and its role in the ministry of worship in the church

Follow the Matthew 18 model on conflict resolution involving other church staff and members of the congregation

Meet weekly for encouragement and support in ministry

Open door policy with any questions and concerns

Annual evaluation of job performance with constructive assessment for professional development
Location: The Arbor Church and Spring Arbor University
Reports to: Executive Pastor
FLSA Status: Part-time Hourly 25-40 hrs./week (when SAU is in session) 29 hrs./week on average. Hourly pay is made based on time card submission and approval by supervisor as scheduled.
Rate: $17 to $20 per hour depending on technical training and experience.
